Back in Control is based on a highly successful program that has helped thousands of parents regain control over their children. Without compromising your values away or kicking the kids out of the house, it offers you the simplest, most effective method of childhood discipline to date. It presents a three-step formula that is perfect for virtually any adult wanting to control children's misbehavior.Instead of getting caught up in children's arguments and manipulations, Back in Control shows parents how to reestablish their rightful place as bosses of the family. Teachers are able to devote more time to teaching than to disciplining students. Probation officers and social workers working with parents, in addition to managing their caseloads more effectively, are able to permanently stop children from abusing drugs or alcohol, stealing, running away from home, and being truant. Children themselves learn that there are some rules they must obey, whether they want to or not, and they will grow up believing that they can succeed in doing what is required of them.Power belongs to those who use it. And if you don't, your children will. If your children's problem behavior is out of hand, it's time you got Back in Control.

Kent knows his music ministry was not his idea, it wasn’t his dream; it was God’s plan. “Baseball was my dream,” says Kent. “It was something I planned and hoped for from the age of 10. Music has been different. I did not dream of being a recording artist and I never planned on being in the spotlight; singing, speaking, and publicly ministering to people. Baseball was my dream. This music ministry is God’s plan, specifically designed for me.” Although Kent has had almost no formal training, God continues to show His excellence through the songs He places on Kent’s heart. Kent says that baseball came natural, but these songs seem supernatural. Kent’s songs spring from a heart of worship and a desire to love and honor the father. From the humble tone of the title track of his new album “Back In The Game” to the simple expressions of gratitude in “Saved” the listener can be assured that Kent knows what a blessed life he has; not because of baseball; not even because of music but simply because he is a dearly loved child of God. Kent knows this and wants everyone who hears his songs and his message to know that it is true of them as well.

Carole Lewis, national director of the First Place weight-loss program, has written a book based on her real-life situation of struggling to maintain her weight loss and the reality of regaining 40 pounds. This book is her response to God's request of her that she "walk the talk" publicly and make herself accountable to lose the weight. The overall message of the book is that falling is never failure; failing to get back up is failure. The book records Carole's journey in journal form-a daily diary of successes, failures and tips that will help anyone get back on track in the area of weight management. She chronicles how to get through the holidays and reveals her temptations as well as victories. Carole says that God knows where we have been, where we are and where we are going-and He plans for us to be overcomers. This is a very practical, honest, and encouraging book for all who are working on the physical side of wholeness.

"We have reduced all virtues to one: being nice. And, we measure Jesus by our standard instead of measuring our standard by Him." For the Christian, explains author Peter Kreeft, being virtuous is not a means to the end of pleasure, comfort and happiness. Virtue, he reminds us, is a word that means "manly strength." But how do we know when we are being meek--or just cowardly? When is our anger righteous--and when is it a sin? What is the difference between being virtuous--and merely ethical? Back to Virtue clears up these and countless other questions that beset Christians today. Kreeft not only summarizes scriptural and theological wisdom on leading a holy life, he contrasts Christian virtue with other ethical systems. He applies traditional moral theology to present-day dilemmas such as abortion and nuclear armament. Kreeft restores to us what was once common knowledge: the Seven Deadly Sins have an antidote in the Beatitudes. By setting up a close contrast between the two sets of behaviors, Kreeft offers proven guidance in the often bewildering process of discerning right from wrong as we move into the questionable mores of the twenty-first century. He provides a road map of virtue, a map for our earthly pilgrimage synthesized from the accumulated wisdom of centuries of Christians, from Paul and the early Church Fathers through C.S. Lewis.
