| This CD takes the Biblical truths from Fred Stoeker's book Tactics and sets them to music. Each song has been selected because of the contribution it makes to the overall message of the album -- a message that safeguards and defends purity in the mind and heart. The CD includes four all-new songs, four new recordings of previously released songs, and four songs from existing CDs. Created especially for young men, the early tracks are about the cost of sin in our relationship with God, the middle tracks are about repentance and fighting for victory over that sin, and the last tracks are about our relationships with the Lord and with the opposite sex, and what sexual purity means in those relationships. The project includes 8 outstanding vocalists, including Matthew West, Michael O'Brien (formerly of NEWSONG), Mike Weaver (Big Daddy Weaver), downhere, Aaron Blanton (By The Tree), Lee Spoken, and Chuck Dennie (former lead singer, By The Tree). Dennie also recorded and produced the album, and wrote or co-wrote several songs. Best-selling author Fred Stoeker (Every Man's Battle, Every Young Man's Battle, Tactics), conceived of the project as part of an overall new shift in emphasis in his speaking and writing ministry. He has begun actively developing resources that equip young men to take a defensive posture towards temptation. His goal is to let these 12 outstanding songs contribute to a new inner environment for men everywhere, especially young men. |
