Space And Earth Science divides the physical (nonliving) universe into four major divisions. From the perspective of a human on Earth, these divisions can be imagined as spheres of information. The four spheres are as follows: the celestial sphereouter space; the atmospherethe layers of gases surrounding the earth; the lithospherethe solid part of the earth and its surface; and the hydrospherethe solid part of the earth and its surface; and the hydrospherethe natural waters that cover and penetrate the earth's surface. The first unit of Space And Earth Science (Chapter 1 and 2) discusses what some people believe science to be, what it really is, and the theories that science produces. You will learn about the limitations of science, the very human activity of developing scientific theories or models, and the great clash of the evolutionary and creationary worldviews in science. To show how scientific modeling is controlled as much by human bias as by observational evidence, you will study the development of the two principal historical views of the earth's position and motion in the cosmosthe egocentric and heliocentric models.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth didn't have any shape. And it was empty. Genesis 1:1-2 (NIrV) In Space and Time, kids get a taste of these two concepts and how they are related. From spinning planets, glowing comets, burning stars, and pinwheeling galaxies, to a discussion about bowling balls on a trampoline (that explains how space and time warp)--and much, much more--scientifically accurate concepts are discussed in kid-friendly language. Add drawings, photos, and fun facts, and young scientists see the awesome and intricate plans God had in mind when he created the heavens and earth. God's Creation Series is about the creation of the universe as described in Genesis, but a few things are in a different order so they can be understood better. These books are about the wonders of God's creation, but not so much about when each event took place.

After seeing a predictable horror movie, Serenity and her friends decide that they can do a better job and set out to make their own movie. Tim's video camera and the amateur scripts he has written are immediately put to use, but sparks start to fly between the girls over who will be the leading lady! Volumes 7-10 in the Serenity series all feature two stories: the continuation of Serenity's adventures and a bonus "movie" that has been created by Serenity and her friends. In volume #7, the movie is an outer space horror story called "Terror from the Tarantula Nebula."
