Moses : Freeing Yourself To Know God

Moses : Freeing Yourself To Know God

Under the reign of a murderous pharaoh, Moses' parents were forced to trust God for the life of their child. Years later, Moses showed this same faith in leading the Israelites out of Egypt into the land God had promised them. Though there were many conflicts in Moses' lifetime, he never allowed them to compromise his relationship with God. His submission to god and His law - regardless of the circumstances - reminds us of our duty as Christians today. It is only by faith that we will be freed from the conflicts and distractions that surround us and come to know the living God.
Moses : Gods Man For Challenging Times

Moses : Gods Man For Challenging Times

Moses was God's man for challenging times. In spite of fierce persecution and immense frustration, Moses was able, by the grace of God, to lead the people of Israel from utter despondency to the borders of the Promised Land. Though thousands of years later, our day is ripe with challenges to the gospel. We can therefore learn from Moses' life. We can learn what it means to walk closely with God day by day; we can learn what it means to find our all-sufficiency in the God of the Bible as we live through sometimes dreary and troublesome times. Further, it is the Christian's great comfort that the Redeemer of Israel is the same today as he was in the days and life of Moses.
Moses : The Journey Of Faith

Moses : The Journey Of Faith

It is F.B. Meyer's goal to encourage us to see that it is God who was the source of greatness for each. These were ordinary men who lived lives of extraordinary faith and dependence upon God. You will find encouragement and empathy in the depictions of these legendary men. In them we see clearly the growth in faith and the temperance of time that were gifts from a loving, nurturing Father--the very same one who loves and nurtures us. Moses was a man like no other man; with great qualities that needed to be developed and improved; with flaws that veined the pure marble of his character; with deficiencies that had rendered him powerless but for the all-sufficient grace that he learned to appropriate; and that be wrought his life's work by the simplicity of his faith, by communion with God, and by becoming a channel through which the Divine purpose was achieved.
