| By the second grade, children have learned a sense of the importance of writing legibly. They know enough words to write notes to those who are close to them. They have experienced the joy of being able to share a story, a poem, or the Word of God with others through writing. Cursive readiness should be a part of the curriculum from the beginning of the year. |
