Kids will also find many people in the cities that they can help by solving puzzles to perform Corporal or Spiritual Works of Mercy such as feeding the hungry or providing shelter for the homeless. Gospel In A Pagan Society

Gospel In A Pagan Society

How do we communicate the gospel in a non-Christian society? Can we expect people from this background to attend church services? How far should we make the message relevant to them? Kenneth Prior takes lessons from the example of the apostle Paul facing the same problems in Athens nearly 2000 years ago. Highly motivated, he was willing to go where the pre-Christians were, to speak to them in language they understood, reaching them at their point need. But his message was also clear and uncompromising, not sacrificing any aspect of Christian truth.
Gospel In A Pluralist Society

Gospel In A Pluralist Society

How does the gospel relate to a pluralist society? What is the Christian message in a society marked by religious pluralism, ethnic diversity, and cultural relativism? Should Christians encountering today's pluralist society concentrate on evangelism or on dialogue? How does the prevailing climate of opinion affect, perhaps infect, Christians' faith? These kinds of questions are addressed in this book by Lesslie Newbigin. A highly respected Christian leader and ecumenical figure, Newbigin provides a brilliant analysis of contemporary (secular, humanist, pluralist) culture and suggests how christians can more confidently affirm their faith in such a context.
